The 2023 Vanguard Award Winners have been revealed, honoring people who have significantly impacted their disciplines. The selection committee was pleased by this year's awardees for their devotion to innovation, hard work, and making a difference in the world. The Vanguard Awards recognize the crucial role that innovation and creativity play in determining our future and serve as an inspiration for others to break through barriers and come up with answers to today's most urgent problems. The victors will be recognized at the President's Reception on the evening of June 27, and their profile will be featured on the AAA website and social media. The 2023 Vanguard Award winners are to be commended for their outstanding accomplishments!

The American Ambulance Association awarded Cindy Elbert its Presidents Award at the association’s national conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2010.   The award recognizes an individual who demonstrates unwavering commitment and volunteerism to the AAA and is decided exclusively by the Association’s President, Jim Finger.

Cindy Elbert, President of Cindy Elbert Insurance Services has played an integral role for the AAA, an organization which represents America’s ambulance services. During, Cindy Elbert’s affiliation with the AAA for more than 28 years, she participated as an industry leader and consistently sponsored numerous AAA programs.  Her leadership and support has helped make possible the Association’s Community Service Awards program of the early 90s.  Cindy has also always sponsored the Association’s national ‘Stars of Life’ program in Washington D.C. which recognizes outstanding paramedics and EMTs.
